Owned by the City of Greer, Greer Golf plays as an 18-hole, par-72 course that winds through the wooded foothills above town. It stretches to 6,350 yards from the back tees, with four sets of tees that keep it fair for every skill level, and recent agronomy work has the course in some of the best shape of its long life.

A Course With History

Greer Golf's story starts in 1954, when a local peach orchard was sold to form Greer Golf and Country Club. The course opened as nine holes in 1955 and expanded to a full 18 in 1965, growing alongside the community for decades. A 10,000-square-foot clubhouse arrived in 2009, and in 2015 every green was converted to Diamond Zoysia, adding nearly 30 percent more putting surface. The City of Greer purchased the club in 2020 and invested heavily in its comeback, renovating the clubhouse, leasing a new cart fleet, regrassing fairways and tees with Tahoma 31 Bermuda, and modernizing course operations. The result is a course with genuine heritage and modern conditioning that locals are proud to call their own.
