The Playing Experience

EagleVail is part river course, part mountain course, and all challenge. The round opens in style on the par-5 first, where the tee box sits about 75 feet above a fairway that rolls toward the western horizon, and the elevation changes keep coming from there. The course is not long, but with Stone Creek and the Eagle River in play on 12 holes and a premium on shot placement over power, it rewards smart, accurate golf. There is history here too: the land was once a working ranch and a high-altitude agricultural research station, and the red barn near the 2nd hole dates to the early 1930s, a charming nod to the property's past. Add in the Gore Range backdrop, and EagleVail offers the best of mountain golf, scenic and fun, yet a real test.

Instruction at EagleVail is led by PGA Director of Golf Ben Welsh (as of 2025), who has spent more than a decade at the club.
