Sponsor Terms

Home / Sponsor Terms

Last updated October 28, 2026

These terms appear when you buy a sponsorship for an event listed on Colorado Under Par (CUP, coloradounderpar.com). “Sponsor” or “you” means the person or business buying the sponsorship. “Organizer” means the person or organization running the event. “Beneficiary” means any nonprofit the event supports.

By completing a sponsorship purchase, you agree to these terms and to the Organizer’s own event terms and refund policy.

1. Who you are buying from

1.1. You are buying your sponsorship from the Organizer. The Organizer is the seller.

1.2. CUP provides the online platform that lists the event and processes the checkout. CUP is not the seller, the event host or the Beneficiary.

1.3. Payment goes to the Organizer through the Organizer’s own Stripe account. CUP may receive a small platform fee from the transaction.

1.4. The Organizer is responsible for delivering the sponsorship benefits it describes, such as signage, golf, meals, booth space or recognition.

1.5. Questions about your sponsorship benefits, invoices or event details should go to the Organizer first. The Organizer’s contact information appears on the event page and in your confirmation email.

2. Sponsorship benefits

2.1. The benefits for each sponsorship level are those described on the event page at the time you buy.

2.2. The Organizer may make reasonable substitutions if a benefit becomes unavailable, such as a change of venue, hole assignment or signage format.

3. Logo and name license

3.1. You give the Organizer and CUP a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your business name, logo and any materials you provide (“Sponsor Materials”). The license covers use to recognize your sponsorship and promote the event, including:

  • event signage, banners, hole signs, programs and printed materials;
  • the event page and related pages on coloradounderpar.com;
  • emails about the event; and
  • social media posts about the event.

3.2. The license lasts through the event and for a reasonable period after, for recaps, thank-you posts and photos. Materials already printed or sent do not need to be recalled.

3.3. The Organizer and CUP may resize, crop or reformat Sponsor Materials to fit signs and layouts. They will not alter your logo in a way that changes its meaning.

4. Logo quality and rights

4.1. You confirm that you own Sponsor Materials or have the right to grant this license.

4.2. You confirm that Sponsor Materials do not infringe anyone’s rights and are not unlawful or offensive.

4.3. You are responsible for providing logos and files in the format and by the deadline the Organizer requests. High-resolution or vector files are recommended.

4.4. If you provide low-quality files, or provide them late, recognition may be limited, printed at lower quality, or left off certain items. This does not entitle you to a refund.

5. Refunds

5.1. The Organizer’s refund policy applies to your sponsorship. It is shown on the event page or at checkout.

5.2. CUP does not decide refund requests. Contact the Organizer for any refund.

5.3. If a refund is issued, CUP’s platform fee may not be returned. The Organizer’s policy will state whether any fees are deducted.

5.4. If an event is cancelled or postponed, the Organizer’s policy controls what happens to your sponsorship.

6. No guaranteed exposure

6.1. Neither CUP nor the Organizer guarantees any number of attendees, golfers, impressions, page views, email opens, leads or sales.

6.2. Estimates of attendance or reach are good-faith estimates only.

7. Tax treatment of sponsorships

7.1. CUP is not a charity. CUP does not issue donation receipts or tax acknowledgments.

7.2. Some events benefit a nonprofit Beneficiary. If any part of your payment may be tax-deductible, the Beneficiary (not CUP) determines the deductible amount.

7.3. Many sponsorships include goods or services in return, such as golf, meals, merchandise or event access. When that happens, your deductible amount is generally limited to the amount you paid minus the fair market value of what you received.

7.4. Under IRS rules, when a donor makes a payment of more than $75 that is partly a contribution and partly for goods or services, the charity must give the donor a written disclosure. That disclosure estimates the value of the goods or services. Separate IRS rules require a written acknowledgment for contributions of $250 or more. The Beneficiary is responsible for providing any required acknowledgment and disclosure.

7.5. Some sponsorships may be treated as advertising or a business expense rather than a charitable contribution.

7.6. CUP does not give tax advice. Talk with your tax advisor about how to treat your sponsorship.

8. Booths, activations and conduct

8.1. If your sponsorship includes a booth, tent, hole activation, demo, sampling or other on-site presence, you must:

  • follow the Organizer’s instructions, schedule and setup rules;
  • follow all venue rules, including rules for carts, vehicles, turf, noise, signage placement, alcohol and cleanup;
  • follow all laws, including rules for serving alcohol or food, contests and giveaways;
  • carry any permits, licenses and insurance your activity requires;
  • act safely and respectfully toward golfers, staff, volunteers and other sponsors; and
  • leave your area clean and undamaged.

8.2. You are responsible for your staff, equipment, products and anything you give away.

8.3. The Organizer or venue may remove you, your staff or your materials if you break these rules or create a safety risk. Removal does not entitle you to a refund.

8.4. Any contest you run (such as a hole-in-one prize or drawing) is your responsibility unless the Organizer agrees otherwise in writing. Raffles and 50/50 drawings may require a state license. See the Raffle and 50/50 Compliance Notice.

9. Photos and recordings

9.1. Events may be photographed or recorded. Your booth, staff, logo and signage may appear in photos and video that the Organizer or CUP uses to promote the event, future events and CUP, including on websites, social media, email newsletters and promotional materials. CUP’s use is covered by the CUP Media Release, which includes an opt-out.

10. Liability

10.1. CUP provides the platform “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, CUP is not responsible for the event, the Organizer’s performance, the venue, the Beneficiary, or any injury, loss or damage at the event.

10.2. To the fullest extent the law allows, CUP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages.

10.3. To the fullest extent the law allows, CUP’s total liability relating to your sponsorship is limited to the platform fee CUP received from your purchase, or $100, whichever is greater.

10.4. You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless CUP from claims arising from your Sponsor Materials, your on-site activity, your products or giveaways, or your breach of these terms.

10.5. Your relationship with the Organizer may also be covered by a separate sponsorship agreement. If so, that agreement controls between you and the Organizer.

11. Governing law

11.1. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Disputes with CUP will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Colorado.

12. Contact

12.1. Event questions: contact the Organizer listed on the event page.

12.2. Platform questions: Colorado Under Par, PO Box 151159, Lakewood, Colorado 80215, or am@coloradounderpar.com.
