These Organizer Terms apply to anyone who sells registrations, sponsorships, donations or other items for an event through Colorado Under Par (“CUP”, “we”). They add to the CUP Terms of Use. By checking “I agree” in your Organizer Dashboard, you accept them for yourself and for the organization you represent.
CUP provides software to list your event, take registrations and payments, manage teams and sponsors, and communicate with participants. CUP does not run your event. Free events can use CUP without connecting a payment account.
You are the seller and merchant of record for everything sold for your event. Payments are processed through your own Stripe account, and money goes from buyers to you. You are responsible for your Stripe account and for following Stripe’s terms, which you accept separately with Stripe.
CUP charges a platform fee of 1% of each paid sale, collected automatically through Stripe. Stripe’s processing fees are separate and set by Stripe. Depending on your settings, fees can be passed to buyers at checkout or absorbed by you. CUP keeps its platform fee on refunded sales. CUP will give notice before changing its fee.
You are responsible for: running your event as described; your refund policy and honoring it; chargebacks and disputes on your Stripe account; any taxes on your sales; permits, insurance and venue agreements; accurate event information, prices and dates; and any statement you make about charitable giving or tax deductibility. CUP is not a charity and does not issue donation receipts. If donations are tax-deductible, the nonprofit beneficiary issues receipts.
You receive the information participants give when they register. Use it only for your event and related communication, keep it secure, and honor unsubscribe requests. CUP handles participant information under its Privacy Policy and may use it to operate and improve the platform.
If you cancel, postpone or materially change your event, tell participants promptly and handle refunds under your posted policy and applicable law.
You keep ownership of your content and give CUP permission to display and promote it on the platform. You also allow CUP to use photos, video, your logo and event results from your event on the CUP website, social media, newsletters and promotional materials under the CUP Media Release, and you will tell participants that the event may be photographed. If you take photos yourself, only share with CUP the ones you have the right to share. Do not post anything unlawful, misleading or infringing. CUP may pause or remove an event or account that breaks these terms or puts participants at risk.
CUP provides the platform as is. To the extent the law allows, CUP is not liable for your event, for the acts of participants, venues or vendors, or for indirect or consequential losses, and CUP’s total liability is limited to the platform fees you paid CUP in the 12 months before the claim. You agree to cover CUP for claims arising from your event or your breach of these terms.
CUP may update these terms. When it does, the date above changes, and you will be asked to agree again before publishing your next paid event.
