Event Overview

The 3rd Annual Bruce Willard Memorial Golf Tournament continued the tradition of honoring the life and legacy of Bruce Willard, bringing golfers, friends, and supporters together for a meaningful day on the course. Building on the inaugural event, the second-year tournament deepened its focus on remembrance, connection, and shared purpose through a thoughtfully organized golf experience.

As a returning memorial event, the tournament demonstrated continued momentum through careful planning, strong participant engagement, and an enjoyable golfer experience—reinforcing its role as an enduring tribute and community gathering.

Why This Event Matters

Proceeds from this year’s event will support Jennifer Bruer. We are proud to continue the tradition of using Bruce’s legacy to bring hope, healing, and help where it’s needed most.
Jennifer Bruer
On Memorial Day Weekend 2024, Jennifer had just completed The Murph Workout — a tradition she’d honored for the past seven years. What felt like routine soreness after a familiar workout turned into something unexpected when Jennifer discovered a lump in her chest. Following a series of tests and appointments, Jennifer received a diagnosis on June 10, 2024 of Stage 3 Triple Positive Breast Cancer — a particularly aggressive form of the disease.
She immediately began systemic treatment in July 2024 and has since endured an incredibly demanding medical journey, including: 4 surgeries, 16 rounds of chemotherapy, and 30 sessions of radiation. She will continue chemotherapy treatments throughout 2025 and will have to undergo additional surgeries to ensure there is no evidence of disease remaining.
