Some people find their calling in a straight line. Andrew Mueller found his across three of them.
Mueller earned a Bachelor of Science in health care administration from Bowling Green State University and spent the first six years of his career as a health administrator for nursing homes — work that shaped how he thinks about service and community to this day. Looking for a new challenge, he moved into finance, starting as a bank teller and working his way up to wealth management associate. Along the way he earned U.S. Bank’s Star of Excellence, ranking in the top five percent nationally in production, and helped build a team recognized among the top ten wealth management teams in the country.
But it was on the golf course that Mueller saw a problem worth solving. An avid golfer who competed in tournaments and leagues himself, he kept meeting people who loved the game yet felt anxious about competing — intimidated, unsure they belonged, or convinced organized golf wasn’t for them. So he and a co-founder built something different: Colorado Under Par, centered on charity and corporate golf tournaments and welcoming social leagues for players of every level.
The idea caught on. Within its first two years, Colorado Under Par had grown a real membership, trademarked its brand, and built partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and charities across the Front Range. When the pandemic shut down its inaugural season, Mueller and his team turned the community they’d built into a platform for good — running fundraisers and delivering meals and support to frontline healthcare workers, a cause that hit especially close to home given where his own career began.
That blend — competitive golf, genuine community, and giving back — is still the heartbeat of Colorado Under Par today. Mueller has stayed civically active with organizations including Freedom Service Dogs, Down For a Cure, the Parkinson Association of the Rockies, and First Tee of Denver, and continues to lead Colorado Under Par as it grows into the home base for golfers and event organizers across the state.
In November 2020, that body of work earned Mueller induction into the Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry, which selects honorees based on accomplishment, visibility, and prominence in their field.
