The Roaring Fork Club is a private, invitation-only golf and fly fishing club set along the banks of the Roaring Fork River in Basalt, Colorado, between Aspen and Snowmass Village. Its centerpiece is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, opened in 1999 and sculpted along the dramatic contours of the river valley, but the club is equally known for world-class trout fishing on private river waters and a rustic cabin campus modeled on the great camps of the 1800s. With championship golf, exceptional fishing, fine dining, and a full slate of family amenities, the Roaring Fork Club offers members an extraordinary mountain setting for tournaments and private gatherings.

About the Course

The Roaring Fork Club's 18-hole golf course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design, shaped by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II along benches on either side of the Roaring Fork River. Routed through stone outcroppings, tall cottonwoods, and rolling meadows, it is a par-72 layout that pays homage to the old Scottish courses while embracing its Colorado river valley. As a private club, play is reserved for members and their accompanied guests. Nicklaus designed the course to respect the land, letting the stone outcroppings, cottonwood stands, and roiling meadows shape the holes rather than the other way around. Water is a constant companion, with five holes playing along the Roaring Fork River or Spring Creek, and a handful of features pay tribute to golf's Scottish roots, including the double green shared by the 7th and 15th and the memorable shot across the railroad tracks on the 14th. The result is a course that feels both timeless and unmistakably Colorado.

Fly Fishing

Fishing is woven into the identity of the Roaring Fork Club as deeply as golf.
