Venue Overview

The Snowmass Club is a private, four-season members’ club in Snowmass Village, Colorado, widely regarded as the premier private club in the Aspen/Snowmass area. Set above the Roaring Fork River with panoramic views of Mount Daly and the Elk Mountain Range, the club pairs an award-winning, Jim Engh-designed championship golf course with a world-class racquet program, a 19,000-square-foot athletic center, year-round pools, and acclaimed dining. Just minutes from Snowmass ski resort and a short drive from Aspen, it offers members and their guests a relaxed yet refined mountain lifestyle, and a spectacular setting for member tournaments, weddings, and private events.

About the Course

The Snowmass Club’s championship golf course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout originally designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay and reimagined in 2004 by acclaimed Colorado architect Jim Engh into a traditional Irish links-style course. Playing to 7,008 yards from the longest tees, it winds through rolling ranch terrain dotted with ponds and streams, framed by Mount Daly and the surrounding peaks. As a private club, play is reserved for members and their guests.

Course features:

18-hole, par-72 championship course reimagined by Jim Engh 7,008 yards from the longest tees, with a course rating of 71.9 and a slope of 143 Originally designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay; redesigned by Jim Engh in 2004 Traditional Irish links style with an open, rolling layout Ponds, streams, and massive bunkering woven through the terrain Challenging elevation changes and impeccably maintained fairways and greens Panoramic views of Mount Daly and the Elk Mountain Range Signature 535-yard par-5 4th, with bold bunkering and an unobstructed Mount Daly view Driving range, putting green, and a dedicated golf simulator for winter play

The Playing Experience

The Snowmass Club plays like a slice of Ireland lifted into the Rockies. Jim Engh’s redesign took its cues from the ranching families who once worked the land and from the traditional links courses of the Auld Sod, producing an open, pastoral layout that follows the natural roll of the terrain rather than fighting it. Ponds and streams thread through the round, massive bunkers frame the strategy, and the elevation changes keep every club selection interesting. The signature moment comes at the 535-yard par-5 4th, where bold bunkering and an unobstructed view of Mount Daly make it as photogenic as it is demanding. With a slope of 143 from the tips and forgiving options from the forward tees, it rewards every kind of golfer while never letting the scenery steal the whole show.
