SSIA Pickleball
Littleton, CO 80121 United States Get Directions
Venue Overview
SSIA Pickleball is South Suburban Parks and Recreation’s indoor pickleball facility in Littleton, in the south Denver metro near University Boulevard and Arapahoe Road. Its strongest differentiator is focus: the former South Suburban Ice Arena now holds six indoor courts used only for pickleball, on a tennis court surface. That makes it one of the few public, dedicated indoor pickleball venues in the south metro, with drop-in play by skill level, district classes, hourly court rentals and an in-house league calendar that runs from fall through spring. Indoors and year-round, it suits leagues, clinics and small tournaments.
About the Courts
- 6 indoor pickleball courts
- Courts used exclusively for pickleball
- Tennis court surface on converted courts
- Housed in the former South Suburban Ice Arena
- Hourly court rentals and drop-in punch passes
- Owned and operated by South Suburban Parks and Recreation
History
The building opened as the South Suburban Ice Arena, which gave the facility its SSIA name. South Suburban Parks and Recreation later converted it into an indoor pickleball center with six courts on a tennis surface. The district does not publish the conversion date on its pickleball page.

Drop-in play runs at set times through the week, with sessions grouped by skill level so players find an even game. The district posts the SSIA schedule online. Groups that want a private court can rent one by the hour through the district’s registration system, and frequent players can buy an SSIA punch pass. For outdoor play in warm months, the district also runs the 19-court Southpark Pickleball Complex in Highlands Ranch and outdoor courts at Cornerstone Park and Lone Tree Recreation Center.
