Venue Overview

The Club at Cordillera is a private golf and country club in Edwards, set within one of the Vail Valley's most picturesque and captivating residential communities. The club is home to three very distinct golf courses, Valley, Mountain, and Summit, each with its own elevation, terrain, and character, and each designed by one of the most celebrated names in golf course architecture: Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, and Colorado native Hale Irwin. Managed by Troon, one of the golf industry's premier club management companies, Cordillera offers members an unusually wide range of golf within a single membership, along with racquet sports, dining, and a full slate of club amenities. The club's three-course format is a rarity even among Colorado's private clubs, giving members the ability to choose a different design philosophy and elevation profile depending on the day.

About the Course

  • Three distinct private golf courses: Valley Course, Mountain Course, and Summit Course
  • Designed by three major names in golf architecture: Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, and Hale Irwin
  • Each course has its own separate pro shop and elevation profile within the Cordillera property
  • Located in Edwards, within Colorado's Vail Valley golf and residential corridor
  • Managed by Troon, with Troon Privé membership options available
  • Membership-based access supported by a full complement of club amenities

Practice Facilities

Members have access to practice facilities associated with each of Cordillera's three golf courses, along with a full slate of instructional programs. The club also operates racquet sports programs, including a Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating system, giving members options beyond golf for practice and play. Each course also maintains its own scorecard and photo gallery for members planning a round.

Dining and Amenities

Cordillera's dining scene spans three distinct venues tied to the club's different courses and settings: Chaparral, TimberHearth, and The Summit restaurant. Each offers its own menu and atmosphere, giving members a range of dining options to match a round on any of the three courses or an evening out at the club, from casual post-round fare to more formal member dining.

Lessons & Instruction

  • Darren R. Szot, PGA — Director of Golf
  • Tim Mahoney — Troon Director of Education
Darren Szot oversees golf operations across all three Cordillera courses as Director of Golf. Private lessons are also available with Tim Mahoney, Troon's Director of Education and one of the most decorated teachers in America, listed among Golf Digest's Top 50 Greatest Teachers and Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers for more than a decade. Mahoney has instructed members of all four major American tours and is available for private instruction by appointment, with additional instructors available at varying rates through the club's golf shops.

Tournaments & Events

As a private club, Cordillera hosts member-organized outings, club championships, and social tournaments across its three golf courses rather than open public events. The variety of terrain and design across the Valley, Mountain, and Summit courses gives members flexibility when planning member-guest events, club championships, or invitational rounds throughout the season, with each course offering a distinct enough character that a full-day, multi-course outing is a realistic option for larger groups.

Planning Your Event Here

Given its private, membership-based structure, hosting an event at The Club at Cordillera requires member sponsorship rather than open public booking. Members interested in organizing a group outing, tournament, or guest round should coordinate directly with the golf shop for the relevant course, Valley, Mountain, or Summit, to arrange tee times, dining at Chaparral, TimberHearth, or The Summit, and any additional event needs.
