Venue Overview

Randy Ross Tennis Center is a privately built, membership-based indoor club at 7760 South Wheeling Court, Englewood, CO 80112, out in the Dove Valley flats. One footnote on the city: the venue and USTA Colorado both use Englewood, but the parcel geocodes to Dove Valley CDP in unincorporated Arapahoe County with no incorporated place match, and the "Centennial" label some directories carry is not supported. The club opened in late fall 2020. Phone is 720-615-6845. Posted hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., though the operator does not publish which days of the week.

About the Courts

Six indoor tennis courts, claimed by the operator and independently confirmed by USTA Colorado. All six sit under an air-supported fabric dome with a 49-foot ceiling, air conditioned. The operator publishes no surface type, so we do not list one; the "hard court" label comes only from third-party aggregators. No pickleball is published by the venue. The project was announced in 2018 as seven courts and built as six.

Six Courts Under a Dome, and a Square Footage Nobody Agrees On

The building is a hybrid of cast-in-place concrete and an air-supported dome, with a 2,880 square foot clubhouse and a $6.2 million construction cost. Its size is genuinely disputed. The general contractor puts it at 57,200 square feet; two press accounts say 58,580. Neither figure appears on the club's own website, so we report both and settle on neither. Ross founded the program in April 2012 out of the Hilton Denver Inverness courts; Dove Valley is its first owned home.

Lessons & Instruction

The junior ladder is unusually complete: Junior Development on a red, orange, green progression from age five, Yellow Ball and Challenger, Teen Beginner 1 and 2 for ages 13 to 17, a Middle School Program, separate High School Girls and Boys programs with Varsity Prep, Varsity and Varsity Plus tiers, and Junior Excellence at Champ and Super Champ levels, pairing two hours on court with 45 minutes in the fitness center. Adults get NTRP-graded weekly drills capped at six players, Cardio Tennis, Stroke of the Week, and Quick Start Tennis for Adult Beginners, open to non-members. Published teaching staff includes Randy Ross, Owner, General Manager and Director of Tennis, who still teaches; Mike Hall, Tennis Professional and Adult Instructional Program Coordinator, USPTA, formerly Director of Tennis at Inverness; Kenny Orive, Junior Development coordinator, USPTA, PTR and Special Olympics certified; Gay West, teaching in Denver since 1989 and here since 2012; plus Phill Urrutia, Juan Sanchez and Annika Weeber.

Leagues & Events

The club publishes an RRTC Spring Break junior tournament series, one-day yellow ball events at 12U, 16U, 14U Singles and 18U Singles across consecutive weekend days in March, open to members and non-members and registered through USTA.com. There is also a standing USTA Adult Tournaments section open to non-members, though individual event names and dates are not published. Randy Ross is a home site for USTA and CTA league matches across Mixed, Adult, Women's Daytime, 65+, Twilight and ITA Fall Mixed divisions. Adult intraclub leagues, an Interclub League from September through March, Friday mixers, Wednesday Men's Night and Saturday mixers fill out the calendar.

Year-round indoor certainty is the draw, and the club argues the metro is short of it. Memberships are limited and published in Full, Instructional, League, Junior and Junior Instructional tiers, with a one-time initiation fee per immediate family and month-to-month terms after that. There is no free public access and no resident tiering. Guests pay a higher hourly rate, and both Quick Start and all tournaments are explicitly open to non-members.
