Vail Country Club Golf & Sports Bar is an indoor golf simulator bar on Chapel Place in Avon, in the Vail Valley between Vail and Beaver Creek just off I-70. Despite the name there is no gate: the club's line is "Everyone is a member at VCC," and non-members, families and kids are welcome. Two TrackMan simulators with more than 400 courses share the room with a full bar, eight big-screen TVs, shuffleboard and darts. Fall and winter team leagues keep golfers swinging when the valley's courses are under snow.

History
Kenny Thayer opened Vail Country Club so golfers in the Vail Valley could play and practice year-round. He has more than 25 years in the golf business, including a year on Kauai and five years at the Kapalua Plantation course on Maui, and has lived in the Vail Valley for about 20 years. The club does not publish its opening year.
