Venue Overview

The Local Drive Stanley Hangar is a golf simulator and indoor golf venue in Aurora, built inside the historic hangar at Stanley Marketplace on the line between Aurora and Denver's Central Park neighborhood, a short drive from Interstate 70 and Interstate 225. Its biggest differentiator is scale: 12 TrackMan bays across about 10,000 square feet of indoor golf space, plus an 8,500 square foot patio with Rocky Mountain views and the building's original 20-foot hangar doors. It works year-round for league nights, corporate outings and large charity events that need room for golfers and non-golfers alike.

About the Bays

  • 12 TrackMan-powered simulator bays
  • More than 400 courses, including PGA Tour stops
  • About 10,000 square feet of indoor golf space, not counting the second level
  • Srixon and Cleveland demo clubs available to rent
  • Privately owned and operated by The Local Drive, which also runs a RiNo location in Denver

Indoor Golf Simulator Technology

Every bay runs TrackMan, and the 400-plus course library lets a league rotate courses from week to week. The same TrackMan data powers the lessons and club fittings taught on site.

Events Held Here

The Local Drive Stanley Hangar runs monthly golf leagues and is set up for simulator tournaments, golf outings, networking events, corporate team nights and fundraisers. With 12 bays playing at once, a full field can tee off together instead of rotating through a handful of simulators. Upcoming events at this venue are listed below.

Lessons, Coaching & Programs

Lessons, club fittings and consultations are taught by an in-house golf professional using TrackMan, with video analysis available. As of 2026, the Hangar Golf Pro is Austin Smith, a PGA Associate with more than 25 years in the game. Single lessons and multi-hour packages are offered, and group clinics are planned through the year.

Food, Drink & Amenities

  • Full-service cocktail bar featuring spirits from Colorado distilleries
  • Two bar areas
  • Food from Stanley Marketplace vendors
  • 8,500 square foot patio with Rocky Mountain views
  • Sand volleyball, pool tables, table games and bar games
  • Original 20-foot hangar doors

Private Events & Groups

The Local Drive publishes a clear ladder of event spaces, so it is easy to match a room to a headcount:

  • VIP Room: an enclosed bay with private music and TV, for up to 12 guests
  • 2 Bays & The Bridge: two bays, one bar and a private bartender, for up to 60 guests
  • Full Mezzanine: seven bays, one bar and two private bartenders, for up to 100 guests
  • Full Space Buyout: all 12 bays, both bars and sand volleyball, for up to 1,500 guests
  • Patio events on request

Event inquiries go to the venue's general manager.

Membership or Access

The Local Drive Stanley Hangar is open to the public by bay reservation, and membership options are also available. No membership is needed to book a bay.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are open now. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
