Venue Overview
Red Rocks Country Club is a private, 18-hole golf club in Morrison, Colorado, founded in 1974 and set at the base of the iconic red rock outcroppings that give the club its name. The course was originally designed by Stanley Harwood — a member of the family behind Denver's Purity Creameries — and later underwent a significant redesign by Kevin Atkinson of Phelps Design Group in the early 2000s to sharpen the course's challenge and take fuller advantage of its dramatic scenery. Red Rocks marked its 50th anniversary in recent years, a milestone the club continues to celebrate.About the Course
Red Rocks' setting is its defining feature: the course winds through the base of the same red rock formations that give the region its name, with sweeping views that few clubs in the Denver metro area can match. Stanley Harwood's original design gave the club its bones in the 1970s, and Kevin Atkinson's redesign through Phelps Design Group modernized the layout in the early 2000s, adding strategic challenge while working with — rather than against — the scenic red rock terrain. The result is a private club experience built as much around its natural surroundings as around the golf itself.- Private, 18-hole golf club founded in 1974

From Purity Creameries to Purity of Setting
Red Rocks' original designer, Stanley Harwood, came to golf course design from an unlikely place: his family built Purity Creameries, a Denver milk delivery business founded in 1920 that grew into a hand-dipped ice cream operation with 23 locations around the city before Harwood turned his attention to laying out the club's original 1970s-era routing. Decades later, Kevin Atkinson of Phelps Design Group returned to modernize the course, sharpening its strategic demands while leaning further into the site's singular asset — the same red rock outcroppings that give Red Rocks Amphitheatre its name, rising just beyond the fairways. Few clubs anywhere in Colorado can offer members a backdrop quite like it.Practice Facilities & Amenities
