About the Course

Press Maxwell, later reworked with architect Mark Rathert, with three nine-hole courses, North, South, and West, that combine into varied 18-hole rounds. Each 18-hole configuration plays to a par of 72 and more than 7,000 yards, with immaculately groomed fairways, bunkered greens, and towering pines. As part of a private club and resort, play is reserved for members, their guests, and overnight resort guests.

The Playing Experience

Kissing Camels is as scenic as golf gets in Colorado. Set hard against the foothills, the classic Press Maxwell design frames nearly every hole with towering pines, red-rock formations, and views of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak beyond. Its three nines can be combined into a variety of 18-hole rounds, each offering the same blend of serenity and challenge, with well-bunkered, immaculately conditioned greens that reward precise iron play. It is a course with genuine championship pedigree, having hosted the 1982 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur, yet it remains a pure pleasure to play. Few rounds anywhere pair this much beauty with this much history.
