Venue Overview

The MAC in Westminster is a City of Westminster facility that the city describes as “Westminster’s hub for an active adult lifestyle.” Its newest draw is a set of three indoor pickleball courts, open for adult drop-in play and court reservations, alongside a weight room, an indoor walking track, an aerobics and dance studio and a billiards room. Because the courts are indoors, play runs year-round, and the building’s 5,000 square foot Grand Ballroom gives organizers a place to pair court time with a banquet, awards lunch or social.

About the Courts

  • 3 indoor pickleball courts, named Court 1 East, Court 2 South and Court 3 North
  • Courts newly added by the city
  • Drop-in play for all skill levels, ages 18 and up
  • Court reservations open to both passholders and non-passholders, with passholders able to book further ahead
  • A published MAC pickleball court schedule from the city
  • Owned and operated by the City of Westminster

Play and Programs

Pickleball at The MAC is built around adult drop-in play and reserved court time. The city posts a court schedule showing when the three courts are set aside for drop-in and when they can be booked. The MAC itself does not offer pickleball lessons. The city directs new players to its skills and drills sessions at City Park Recreation Center, then back to The MAC for open play once they are comfortable on court.

Beyond pickleball, The MAC offers fitness classes, aerobics and dance, wellness programs, educational seminars and adult enrichment programs. A library kiosk and a preschool also operate in the building.

Events Held Here

  • Pickleball: adult drop-in play across all skill levels, plus reserved court time that groups can use for round robins, socials and private sessions.
  • Private events: receptions, celebrations and gatherings in the Grand Ballroom and additional rooms.
  • Fitness and enrichment: fitness classes, wellness programs and seminars run by the city.

Upcoming events at this venue are listed below.

Lessons, Coaching & Programs

The MAC does not run pickleball lessons. Beginners are pointed to the City of Westminster’s pickleball skills and drills sessions at City Park Recreation Center. No pickleball coaches or instructors are named for The MAC.

Food, Drink & Amenities

  • Weight room
  • Indoor walking track
  • Aerobics and dance studio
  • Billiards room
  • Library kiosk
  • Grand Ballroom with a dance floor, plus additional rentable rooms

Private Events & Groups

The MAC’s Grand Ballroom is 5,000 square feet with a dance floor and holds up to 250 guests, and smaller rooms can be reserved for private affairs or as added space for a larger event. For a pickleball group, the court math is simple: three courts at four players each puts 12 players on court at once, or 15 with one player rotating in per court. Events serving alcohol require off-duty Westminster police officers, and cash bars are not permitted. Room bookings start with the city’s rental inquiry form.

Membership or Access

The MAC is a public City of Westminster facility. Players can pay general admission at check-in or use a city recreation pass, and both passholders and non-passholders can reserve pickleball courts. Drop-in pickleball is for adults 18 and older.

How do I list my event?

Submit it free on Colorado Under Par at coloradounderpar.com/submit-event, and it will appear on this venue page and in the CUP Event Hub.

Planning Your Event Here

With three courts, The MAC suits small round robins, ladder nights and socials of about 12 to 15 players at a time; for a larger group, run timed waves. Pair your court block with a Grand Ballroom booking for awards or a meal, and remember that alcohol service requires off-duty police officers. Check the published court schedule first, since drop-in times limit when courts can be reserved. Contact the venue for current pricing and availability.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are open now. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Then we will be in touch.
