Venue Overview

Englewood Recreation Center is the City of Englewood’s main recreation center, in the south Denver suburb of Englewood near US 285 and Santa Fe Drive. For pickleball players, it offers indoor pickleball courts in its gym with drop-in sessions split by skill level, and the building adds a pool, meeting rooms and a full gym that rents for tournaments and leagues. Table tennis players know it too: the Denver Table Tennis Alliance has run open play and a tournament here. Public access and flexible gym rentals make it a practical home for small court events in the south metro.

About the Courts

  • Gymnasium used for pickleball, basketball and volleyball
  • Full gym fits one full-sized basketball court of 50 by 84 feet, with a capacity of 558
  • Half gym fits one 50 by 42 basketball court or one 59 by 29 volleyball court, with a capacity of 279
  • Pool available for parties, lane rentals and full-pool rentals
  • Colorado Room, Blue Spruce Room, Turquoise Lake Room and a kitchen
  • Owned and operated by the City of Englewood Parks, Recreation, Library and Golf

Indoor Pickleball Courts in Englewood

Indoor pickleball at Englewood Recreation Center runs as drop-in play in the gym. The city posts beginner and intermediate sessions on weekdays and a Friday evening session, and it uses Beginner/Intermediate, Advanced and All Levels labels across its pickleball schedule so players can find a game at their level. The city also runs pickleball in the gym at Malley Recreation Center and has outdoor courts at Duncan Park and at Colorado’s Finest High School for warm-weather play.

Events Held Here

  • Pickleball: drop-in sessions by skill level throughout the week.
  • Table tennis: the Denver Table Tennis Alliance has hosted open play here and ran an A, B and C division tournament in May 2024.
  • Basketball and volleyball: full and half gym rentals for leagues, practices and tournaments.
  • Swimming: pool parties and lane or full-pool rentals.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are open now. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Then we will be in touch.
